As a society, we’re starting to walk away from the idea that people can be treated like a widget, plugged into a process, then managed like a resource. When a company’s only goal is to make money, they ironically set themselves on a path to squander the opportunities to do so. Companies who build their cultures upon the value of relationships save money. They have less turnover. Experience fewer workplace injuries. A smaller number of employees miss work which affect productivity. More employees offer innovative ideas because they feel safe enough to engage their best stuff.

I’ve been in Baltimore the last few days. Flew out there Wednesday and got back last night. I was attending the It’s Time Network Inaugural Summit representing Queentia. Queentia is an engagement partner along with another organization I’m involved in, NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners).

The four relationships are aspects of one relationship: that one relationship being the universe to itself in the many forms of matter and energy. The universe is one big body so to speak, and all that is in it is moving in reference to all else. That’s why we observe on thing affecting another. Why what we say to others and ourselves has an effect. We look for peace because we know deep within us that we have a song that sings continuously. It’s the same song that sings within each of us and in all things. It is the song of one – the unifying music of the universe.
