Laura Receives Luminary Award
Sacramento Valley Chapter, National Association of Women Business Owners selects Laura to receive the Luminary Award at Annual Ceremony
Sacramento, October 15, 2015 —
The OWL Awards are a tribute to outstanding women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders in the Sacramento Valley region who have advanced the status of entrepreneurial excellence and community leadership.
Nominations were announced in seven categories at NAWBO Sacramento’s 6th Annual Margarita Mixer held in September. The winners were revealed at the awards ceremony October 15, 2015 in Sacramento.
“We are very excited to recognize these amazing women. Each nominee exemplifies ingenuity, perseverance, and dedication to creating her business dream against many odds. The challenge for the judges is to have to select just one awardee for each category. They are all extremely deserving,” said Mónica Nainsztein Rodríguez, NAWBO Sacramento President.
Of the 59 nominees, 19 were selected as finalists. Of those 19, one was awarded in each of the seven categories. Among the finalist nominees was Laura Hansen who was a finalist in both the Business Owner of the Year and Luminary categories and received the the Luminary Award. The candidate chosen for the Luminary award is a women business owner who “lights the way for others” through her mentorship, leadership and exemplifying what it means to inspire.
“The women nominated with me are my friends, colleagues and mentors. I’m humbled to be selected from such a remarkable group of women,” commented Laura in her receiving remarks at the podium.
